| R.B. "Jerry" McGowen III was born in Monahans, Texas in 1950 Texas A & M University (B.B.A., Finance 1972) SMU Law School, (J.D., 1975) He attained the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves While practicing Law in Pecos, Texas from 1976 to 1981. While in Pecos he was President of the Pecos, Texas Chamber of Commerce, the Pecos Lions Club, the United Way of Pecos and the Pecos Bar Association. Began the practice of Law in Pecos, Texas in 1976. Moved to Sherman in 1981 and currently maintains a general practice of law and provides mediation services in the North Texas area. In Sherman Jerry has served as President or Sherman of the City of Sherman Chamber of Commerce, the Civil Service Commission of the City of Sherman and the Sherman Noon Lions Club. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; U.S. District Courts of the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.  Member of the State Bar of Texas, Grayson County Bar Association and the Association of Mediators. |
